The department offers collaboration in the following areas:

  • combustion of fuels in order to increase the efficiency of heat aggregates and to reduce emissions in the combustion process

  • study of the effect of flue gas recirculation on the combustion process

  • the influence of magnetic, resp. electromagnetic field on the combustion process

  • using of reburning to reduce nitrogen oxides in outgoing flue gas, low-emission combustion and oxy-combustion

  • convection and heat exchanges in heat-power aggregates

  • heat work and balancing of heat processes, furnaces and heat aggregates

  • mathematical modelling and optimization of energy conversion and heat transfer processes in heat aggregates

  • utilization of renewable and non-traditional energy sources

  • gasifying of biomass

  • transport and distribution of energy media
